New York, NY – Bangladesh Students Association (BSA) at LaGuardia Community College (LAGCC) x Bangladesh Students Association at City College of New York (BSA CCNY) are proud to present Bangladesh Night 2024, an exciting cultural event aimed at highlighting the rich heritage and vibrant traditions of the Bangladeshi community.
This year’s event will bring together students, alumni, and community members to celebrate Bangladesh’s cultural pride and unity on the evening of November 22, 2024, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the Main Stage Theatre, E Building, LaGuardia Community College.
As part of a joint effort between two of New York’s most active South Asian student organizations, LAGCC BSA x BSA CCNY, this event will shine a spotlight on Bangladesh’s rich history, cultural diversity, and its growing influence in the global South Asian diaspora. Bangladesh Night 2024 will feature a mix of traditional and contemporary performances, mouthwatering Bangladeshi cuisine, and an immersive cultural experience that is open to all members of the South Asian diaspora.
Event Highlights:
- Performances: Students from both LaGuardia Community College and City College of New York will showcase their talents through a series of performances, including dance, singing, acting, and a live band show.
- Authentic Bangladeshi Cuisine: Guests will enjoy traditional Bangladeshi food, offering a flavorful journey through Bangladesh’s culinary culture.
- Cultural Showcases: The event will also highlight the traditional arts, fashion, and cultural heritage of Bangladesh through a variety of performances and community engagement activities.

The event will feature inspiring speeches from prominent members of the Bangladeshi community, including leaders from LAGCC BSA and BSA CCNY, who will share insights into the importance of preserving cultural identity and the role of these organizations in bridging the gap between Bangladesh and the United States.

5:00 PM – National Anthem and Patriotic Song
Opening with the national anthem of Bangladesh and a patriotic song to set the tone for the evening. -
5:15 PM – Performances by BSA CCNY and LAGCC BSA
Enjoy dance, singing, and acting performances by students from both LaGuardia and City College of New York. -
6:00 PM – Speeches from Executive Board Members, Mentors, and Sponsors
Inspirational speeches welcoming guests and sharing the significance of the event. -
6:30 PM – Cultural Performances
More performances showcasing both traditional and contemporary Bangladeshi culture. -
7:30 PM – Live Band Performance
A high-energy live band performance featuring popular Bangladeshi music. -
8:45 PM – Event Conclusion and Food Distribution
Closing remarks followed by food distribution, offering a taste of authentic Bangladeshi cuisine.
