A recent Bangladesh Bank report revealed that Bangladeshi nationals made credit card transactions totaling Tk 579 crore outside the country in December.

The data indicates a significant portion, 54.49 percent of this amount, was spent in popular destinations such as India, the USA, the UAE, and Thailand. The surge in travel to India for leisure and medical purposes has led to a rise in credit card usage by Bangladeshis there.
