The crunch of fine bread with a sip of hot coffee is a feeling we can’t rebuttal with any other Desi food habit. Emerald Bakery and Cafe, located in Banani, is one of the creations of famous restaurateur Ayman Ibne Amin and has won the hearts of Dhaka foodies who want to indulge in both the worlds of soft handmade dough and dark sweetened or bitter beans.

This Bakery/Café’s concept is to be a quick food grab for people rushing through Dhaka’s hectic growth, as well as for foodies who want to relax in the peaceful and warm vibes of the continental aesthetic.
The bakery also matches the marks of being a spot for family outings, with an intimate woody interior and a friendly service of adept staff ready to serve you from a delicious menu. Team Tind’s visited this lovely patisserie recently and left with a wonderful grin.
As we passed through Banani at the intersection of roads 7 and 11, we came across the eatery. The seating was intimate, with a warm lighting overtone. We were surrounded by a pleasing color palette of brown, green, and orange.
The walls were decorated simply with beautiful abstract art and a few small but exquisite tabletop lamps. The restaurant had a homey atmosphere while treading lightly on modernistic tavern-type vibes, and it was moderately crowded.
We tried their unique Artisan platter, which included a flavorful curated in-house butter, roasted marrow with a few pieces of crunchy sourdough, a side of amazing pesto pasta, and a serving of their slow-cooked beef short ribs, which was filling.
We ordered the spiced apple from the drinks menu, which had a savory spicy mix with a sweet apple contour. Everything cost around 5000 bdt, with the slow-cooked beef ribs costing 1895 bdt and the roasted marrow costing around 900 bdt. The food was delicious and presented beautifully.
Overall, we had a unique experience and recommend you give it a visit as well. They even have rooms for small events like birthday parties or reunions. Call them to reserve a spot; contact information is provided below.
