However, the event carried a heavy emotional weight. Just days after arriving in Bangladesh for the concert, the father of bassist Syed Ahsan Ali and drummer Syed Adnan Ali passed away. It was a devastating blow. Their parents had been ardent supporters of the band since its inception. Despite the personal tragedy, the brothers insisted on performing, dedicating the concert to their late father’s memory.

The concert featured collaborations with local bands like Shonar Bangla Circus and Kaaktaal, but it was Opartheeb’s performance that stole the night. They played tracks like Bangal and Joddha, proving that their music was not just a studio creation but a powerful live force. This resilience in the face of loss cemented their reputation not just as musicians, but as artists deeply committed to their craft and their audience.

The title itself reflects a sense of distance and perspective—looking back at one’s origins from far away, much like the band looks back at Bangladesh from Canada.

The album was crafted under the guidance of Sazzad Arefeen, a legendary figure in the Bangladeshi rock scene and founder of Guitar Never Lies. His decades-long influence helped sharpen the band’s orchestral depth and sense of control, allowing Abchha Neel Kona to unfold with clarity, weight, and intention.
