Tamasha Ghar from Pakistan: An alternative for Big Boss!

Adnan Siddiqui hosting a parallel of Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss!

Suppose the popularity of Indian reality shows Bigg Boss, Netflix’s Indian Matchmaking, The Circle, The Ultimatum, Love is Blind, and several other shows are any indication. In that case, reality shows are starting to gain traction in Pakistan. Tamasha Ghar, a reality programme created by Pakistani producers, appears to have finally caught on. However, astute internet users have noticed parallels to Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss.

On August 20, ARY Digital started airing the programme, with Adnan Siddiqui serving as presenter and judge. Before introducing the contestants, actors Aamna Malick, Maira Khan, Umer Aalam, Mareeha Safdar, Humaira Asghar, Saeeda Imtiaz, and Saim Ali, he opened the first show with his flute playing.

Aadi Adeal Amjad, a TV personality, is one of the show’s other candidates, along with comedian Rauf Lala, singer Nouman Javaid, choreographer Nigah Jee, fitness instructor Sehr Beg, and model Faiza Khan.

The show, which has a similar set design to India’s Bigg Boss, is considered comparable by online users. Some Twitter users seized the chance to create jokes about the parallels.

Tamasha Ghar and Accusations

Adnan Siddiqui is no longer astonished that he is again on people’s radar because he is now accustomed to serving as material for memes.

A user leapt forward to defend the programme. They stated that those accusing the programme of being a clone of Bigg Boss. They must also understand that the Indian programme is also a copy of Big Brother in the United Kingdom. It is also programme’s format has been adopted globally. They reasoned, “At least we should value our people.”

One user wasn’t sure whether Siddiqui should be allowed into the house. Salman Khan isn’t truly in the house on Bigg Boss.

Another person questioned the “Bigg Boss” role of the show’s host and thought it odd to see him with the other candidates.

Every day at 9 p.m. on Ary, the reality programme ‘Tamasha Ghar’ airs. Nigah Jee, Faiza, Aalam, Malick, and comedian Rauf Lala are the four contenders. They have advanced to the elimination stage after the first three episodes have been made available.
