New Delhi’s Tanya Nambiar is a one-woman powerhouse.
She’s built a career without a blueprint, moving seamlessly from emceeing live stages to voicing national ad campaigns. Tanya Nambiar’s voice doesn’t just sing or speak—it moves, entertains, and builds worlds. With no formal training, just raw fire and instinct, she’s become a singer, storyteller, entrepreneur, and now, a mother of two.
As co-founder of the hot sauce brand El-Diablo, and the voice behind some of India’s biggest brands, Tanya’s journey is stitched with hustle, humor, and heart. What ties it all together? A restless curiosity—and an unshakable refusal to sit still.
Tanya Nambiar: I was born in Dehradun but raised entirely in Delhi—so, very much a true-blue Delhi girl minus the stereotype! I never had a clear “this is what I want to be” moment growing up, but I was always drawn to entertainment. I was a dreamer. I imagined myself doing everything—fast forward, and now I kind of do!
Tanya Nambiar: Hardworking. Approachable. Hustler.

Tanya Nambiar: It all began with karaoke nights in Delhi while I was still in my sales job. People encouraged me to start a band, so I did. Then I realized music is seasonal—and I needed stability. That’s how I got into voiceovers, which later expanded into emceeing, entrepreneurship, and now storytelling for kids on YouTube. I never do anything half-hearted. I can strike up a conversation with anyone—even a tree—and I’m always juggling multiple things at once.
Tanya Nambiar: I started with a pop-rock band called Gravy Train, then transitioned to jazz, blues, and pop as a solo artist. I’ve even dabbled in electronic music. I don’t like being boxed into one genre—just like I don’t like being boxed into one career.
Tanya Nambiar: Voiceovers! Everyone’s curious about how to get in. I get at least 50 DMs a day about it.

Tanya Nambiar: A good voice alone isn’t enough. Voice acting is about conveying emotion purely through sound. You’re not just talking—you’re performing. Try saying one sentence in five different ways. If you can nail that, you’re onto something.
Tanya Nambiar: Mostly voiceover projects for top brands—digital ads, films, all kinds of exciting stuff. I also just saw one of my ads air during IPL streaming, which was surreal.
Tanya Nambiar: Amazon Prime, OnePlus, Zomato, MamaEarth, Kwality Wall’s, Have More, and Taj Hotels—among many others.

Tanya Nambiar: The inconsistency. Freelancing means no two months are the same. You need grit, not just talent. You knock on a thousand doors for one to open.
Tanya Nambiar: Winning the Global VIMA Music Award in Malaysia was huge. But also, when one of my voiceover reels went viral—it introduced a whole new audience to that part of my work, and suddenly people started recognizing “the voice behind the ads”.

Tanya Nambiar: By being myself. People connect with real stories, not curated perfection. There’s an audience for everything—you just have to show up as you are.
Tanya Nambiar: Failure is inevitable. But not learning from it? That’s the real failure. I’ve made peace with falling, because every time, I’ve gotten stronger.

Tanya Nambiar: A good workout grounds me. And any meal cooked by my dad—especially his South Indian dishes—is pure comfort.
Tanya Nambiar: My mom. She’s a powerhouse in education, a tireless worker, and the most incredible grandmother. I hope I become even half the woman she is.

Tanya Nambiar: I cry at everything. Animated movies, wedding speeches, Shrek… yes, Shrek. My husband still teases me about it.
Tanya Nambiar isn’t chasing trends—she’s building her own universe, one voiceover, melody, and story at a time. Whether she’s lighting up a room onstage or recording heartfelt bedtime stories, her journey is powered by hustle, humor, and heart. In a world of noise, Tanya’s voice continues to stand out.
