Manami Elahi: The Bangladeshi Makeup Artist Turning Passion Into a Beauty Empire

After its successful run in New York, TINDS Social landed in Dhaka on May 15th, 2026. The evening marked a special milestone for TINDS, celebrating 5 years of amplifying South Asian voices through stories, media, and community.
A high-energy, invite-only networking experience that brought together some of Dhaka’s brightest entrepreneurs, creatives, and professionals together.
Perched on the rooftop of Impetus Lounge, at Tejgaon- Gulshan, a prime spot in the city, the evening blended live music, interactive experiences, curated dinners, and thoughtfully designed spaces.
TINDS Social Dhaka moved beyond formal handshakes and surface-level introductions, creating a setting where conversations felt natural, relaxed, and intentional.
From speed networking and open mic moments to host interactions, photo booths, doodle boards, live music, and a curated dinner, the evening gave guests more than one way to connect. Each element was designed to make people communicate, participate, and engage with the room.
That is what made the experience stand out. It turned networking into something warmer and more effective.

With over 150+ guests, the rooftop was buzzing with energy from start to finish. The lineup included luminaries and rising stars such as Fuad Al Muqtadir, Arefin Shuvo, and Arthy Ahmed, along with thought leaders and creatives.
The event also created space for visual art through Mamun Ar Rashid Leon, a contemporary artist from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. His displayed works reflected raw Bangladeshi stories, exploring street children, mothers, vulnerability, empathy, and the resilience of marginalized lives.
Among the guests were names like Rakin Absar, Saifullah Galib (The Royal Bengal Couture), Amrin Tasnim Jaima, Shitom Ahmed, Raiyan Chowdhury (Tapered) and Navid Imtiaz, alongside many rising voices from Dhaka’s creative and professional scene. Each adding their own presence to a room already filled with conversations, introductions, and new possibilities.
Rather than feeling like a formal networking event, the guest mix made the evening feel alive. Creators met entrepreneurs. Media personalities connected with business owners. Professionals exchanged ideas with artists.
That blend is what gave TINDS Social Dhaka its real energy: a room full of people who were not just attending, but actively connecting.

Guests stepped into a thoughtfully designed rooftop space shaped by ambient lighting, live music, curated installations, and the steady sound of conversations building across the venue.
The evening moved with an easy rhythm. Host interactions kept the energy light and engaging, while “Speed Networking” introduced guests to new faces through short, fast-paced conversations. This was a completely new concept in Dhaka, and it really sparked candid conversations among people. 10 people volunteered and leveraged this session in the most natural way.
The Open Mic was another highly engaging session where entrepreneurs and visionaries introduced themselves, shared who they were, and connected with the room in a more personal way.
As the evening settled in, a curated buffet dinner brought guests together again, extending conversations over food and giving the night a warmer, more relaxed close.

Beyond conversations and dinner, TINDS Social Dhaka kept guests engaged through small but memorable activities designed to make people participate, laugh, and connect naturally.
Together, these activities made the evening feel less like a formal gathering and more like a living, breathing room of people ready to connect.

TINDS Social Dhaka was more than a night of networking. It was a way of welcoming Bangladeshi brands, creators, entrepreneurs, and professionals into a wider South Asian conversation.
Through the event, TINDS created a space where local voices could connect with one another while becoming part of a platform built to amplify South Asian stories globally.
The evening reflected a larger mission: to support Bangladeshi talent, build a meaningful community and open doors for future opportunities across media, creativity, and remote collaboration.
For TINDS, this first Dhaka edition marked a new chapter- one rooted in connection, visibility, and the belief that Bangladesh has stories, brands, and young talent ready for a bigger stage.
