A New Beat in the Morning: Breakfast Club Dhaka Debuts a Sunrise Gathering for the City

On April 19, 2025, Breakfast Club Dhaka hosted its debut sunrise gathering — introducing a fresh way to start the day for the city’s creatives, thinkers, and doers. The event combined music, movement, and mindful connection in a warm, thoughtfully curated space at L’apostrophe Café in Banani..

Founded by TAK and Tonmoy, two passionate music lovers and community builders, the initiative brings together a team of dedicated producers and café partners to pull off each edition. Their goal? To create a consistent morning culture that blends sound, food, and soulful community — something completely new in Dhaka.

From the beginning, Breakfast Club Dhaka set out to offer something different — a morning ritual space grounded in rhythm, presence, and joy. The debut reflected that vision. Soulful DJ sets by Sakib Tonmoy, Spaced Out Alien, NFS, and Rii brought a grounded energy to the morning. Light movement, and the comforting aroma of fresh coffee filled the venue as guests arrived early to share the experience.

“It was magical. From the warm crowd to the soulful sets and the aroma of fresh coffee in the air — it all came together beautifully,” the team shared about their debut event.

A New Kind of Gathering for a New Kind of Crowd

Breakfast Club is designed for people looking to start their day differently — founders, freelancers, artists, students, and conscious city-goers. The event offered an intentional alternative to overstimulating nightlife and passive weekend routines.

Guests enjoyed bottomless coffee, matcha tea, and signature breakfast sets including sunny-side eggs, freshly baked croissants, toast with butter and jam, and colorful fruit bowls — all served in a cozy, community-driven atmosphere.

Music, Movement, and Meaningful Mornings

At its core, Breakfast Club Dhaka is about shifting how Dhaka wakes up. Each edition centers around local music, combining genre-diverse beats with light, energizing rituals that help guests feel grounded and inspired.

The team is already exploring future locations in Gulshan, Dhanmondi, Chattogram, and Sylhet, partnering with rooftop cafés and garden spaces to expand the experience across Bangladesh.

For their upcoming event on May 17, Breakfast Club Dhaka teams up with Nemesis for a live morning session at Tokyo Express — featuring an acoustic performance, meet & greet, and an exclusive pre-release listening party for their upcoming studio album VIP. Guests will receive a limited-edition signed cassette, breakfast bento, and ice lemon tea with their ticket. Tickets are priced at 3,000 BDT.

The events in the following week on May 24 will spotlight house music, while May 31 will feature a dynamic mix of live sets and DJs
