Redefining Heritage through Innovation

Ami Dhaka’s latest collection, “Heritage Futurism in Modest Fashion”, draws from Bangladesh’s rich textile legacy — featuring muslin, silk, khadi, katan, and block-printed fabrics.

The ten curated looks combine traditional craftsmanship with modern minimalism, creating an immersive experience of modest fashion. Detailed handwork like karchupi, zardosi, and metal embroidery adds understated luxury, while the pieces flow with intentional fluidity.

Sattar’s Vision: “Heritage should not just be referenced — it should be lived.” This collection emphasizes sustainability, mindful design, and the importance of preserving Bangladesh’s cultural identity.

A Global Conversation of Craft and Culture

At IN2MOTIONFEST 2025, Ami Dhaka joined an international roster of designers, including Fiziwoo (Malaysia) and Yodyko (Thailand). Together, they showcased how fashion can be a tool for cultural dialogue, using craft as a universal language.

Ami Dhaka’s show stood out for its calm sophistication. The minimalist stage and the slow, deliberate movements of the models allowed each garment to shine as a living narrative.
