What’s Inside

TINDS: Where did you grow up and what was your childhood like?

Ansar: I grew up in Pakistan and also spent a few years in Canada. I went to an international school in Pakistan  in Pakistan, which exposed me to different cultures, teachers, and ideas early on. At the time, I didn’t realize how privileged that childhood was. But looking back, being surrounded by that diversity really shaped how I see the world.

TINDS: How would you describe your vibe in three words?

Ansar: Overthinker, reserved, creative.

TINDS: What sparked your content and music journey?

Ansar: TikTok started out as a joke, just inside jokes jokes with friends after I finished uni. But when I saw how Pakistan was being misrepresented online, I felt like someone had to say something real. But music—especially rap—has always been my core. It was never a trend for me.I started that journey in high school way before Tiktok.

TINDS: When was your first creative moment?

Ansar: My friends knew before I did. One of my early videos blew up—I panicked and went private. They told me to stick with it. Same with music. They believed in me way before the internet did. I’m quiet in person—totally different from what people expect when they see my content. But I light up when I’m in creator mode.

TINDS: What’s something people always ask you about your work?

Ansar: Everyone wants to know how much I make, which is wild. But lately, people are more curious about the music—what I’m dropping next, when the next show is. That shift is really fulfilling.

TINDS: What are you currently building or working on?

Ansar: I’ve got 10 tracks in the vault—hoping to release 5 or 6 soon. I’m experimenting with sounds: indie pop, bossa nova, alt-rap, even Urdu rap. I’ve been working on my Urdu writing too—it’s pushing me in the best way.

TINDS: Has there been a moment that stands out in your journey so far?

Ansar: Opening for Young Stunners. During soundcheck, Jokhaay, a top producer, was nodding along. Later, he DM’d me that he loved my set. That moment still doesn’t feel real.

TINDS: What’s a hard part of the process people don’t usually see?

Ansar: The hate. Especially when I started with English rap—people told me to “just stick to funny videos.” That burned. But I stuck with it—and now I don’t let anyone’s opinion mess with my music.

TINDS: How do you stay grounded online?

TINDS: What’s one lesson you’ve had to learn the hard way?

Ansar: Time management. I used to wait for opportunities to come to me. Now I plan everything out—monthly goals, weekly breakdowns. My fear isn’t failing, it’s not trying.

Ansar: Ka, the late NY rapper. His lyrics were mind-blowing and he made a massive impact underground. Socially, I’d say Lenin. His writings pulled me out of a really dark place. It reminded me that change is possible.
